Roshni Clinic is a supportive adult (19 years and older) program for men and women of the South Asian community. It addresses problems associated with alcohol and drug use.

Services are provided in English, Punjabi and Hindi by health care providers who specialize in substance use disorder. 

Services include:

  • Intake and assessment.
  • Ongoing treatment for problems associated with alcohol and drug use.

  • One-time consultations for family doctors who would like recommendations on managing a patient with alcohol and drug use disorder.

  • A holistic, patient-centred approach, with a strong focus on the cultural context and issues specific to members of the South Asian community.
  • Services are provided in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, and are open to all those who self-identify as South Asian including those of Punjabi, Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani descent.
  • Medical management of second stage withdrawal symptoms and substance use, including Methadone, Suboxone and other medications, one-to-one counselling, psychosocial educational groups, education and support for families, and telehealth appointments by phone or computer for select patients.
  • Referral to other supportive programs.
