Acute Care Staff Prioritized to Receive H1N1 Vaccine

Workplace Health is being provided with vaccine to deliver to acute care staff. Vaccine will be delivered on a priority basis as per the Provincial Health Officer policy dated October 30, 2009.

Monday and Tuesday only Direct Care Staff in the Intensive Care, Emergency Units, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, Post Anesthetic Care Unit, and Cardiac Care Unit will be provided with vaccine.

Health Care Workers with underlying medical conditions as well as those who are more than 20 weeks pregnant continue to be eligible to receive vaccine.

Beginning Wednesday ALL DIRECT CARE STAFF in all units will be provided with the vaccine. Please check the intranet for clinics in your facility starting Wednesday November 4th.
