Pest Management Plan

The pest management methods proposed for use include water management, source reduction, public education, and the application of pesticides by manual placement, backpack sprayer, truck-mounted power hose and nozzle, granular spreader, helicopter, and fixed wing aircraft.  The common name and trade name of the pesticides proposed for use under this plan include Biological Control Agents: Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Vectobac 200G, Vectobac 1200L, Aquabac 200G, Aquabac XT, Aquabac II XT, Teknar G, Teknar HP-D) and Bacillus sphaericus (VectoLex WSP, VectoLex CG, VectoLex WDG).  Insect Growth Regulator: methoprene (Altosid XR Briquets, Altosid Pellets).  The Plan Holder (Fraser Health Authority) or any Authorized Agent or their contractor may access the PMP to apply any pesticide listed in the Plan.

The duration of the Pest Management Plan is from June 19, 2009 to June 19, 2014.

Any agency intending to act as an authorized agent under this PMP must complete and submit for consideration the Notice of Intent to Treat (NIT) in accordance with the Plan. 

All authorized agents or their contractors must complete and submit the NIT Year End Summary no later than October 31 of each year the Plan is accessed.
