Michele Lane

Michele Lane provides leadership for Surrey community health services, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre and renal services.

Career snapshot

Michele started her career in health as a registered nurse gaining experience mostly in the emergency department. Michele worked at both St. Paul’s and Surrey Memorial in the Emergency Department. After that she decided to move to Albuquerque, New Mexico to continue her work in the Emergency Department.

Coming back to Canada, Michele moved into administration gaining experience at Vancouver Coastal before taking on the role of operations manager at B.C. Bedline (now the Patient Transfer Network). From there, Michele moved into the Ministry of Health where she held several positions at the director and then executive director levels. She was an executive director with HealthLink BC (8-1-1) and most recently Michele held the position of executive director of acute and provincial services.

Formal education

Michele holds an Executive MBA from Royal Roads University, a certificate in Public Administration, Registered Nursing Diploma from Langara College and Emergency Nursing Advanced Certificate from British Columbia Institute of Technology.
