Refugees in Fraser Health - Services and Information
Fraser Health has a long history of welcoming refugees from around the world to our region.
The Government of Canada has committed to the intake of 25,000 Syrian refugees by the end of February 2016. Of these, 3,000 to 4,000 individuals will arrive in British Columbia with the majority expected to resettle in Fraser Health.
Fraser Health is working with federal, provincial, municipal and community partners on a comprehensive and evolving Syrian Refugees Response Plan. Through this plan, we will do our part to ensure refugees have the best chance of successfully resettling in our region.
