Langley Medical Imaging Facility
A new medical imaging facility opened in June 2025, providing people in the Langley area with improved access to life-saving diagnostic medical imaging services in Langley and surrounding communities.
More people in the Langley area will benefit from a new state-of-the-art computed tomography (CT) scanner and radiography (X-ray) services. The medical imaging facility co-located within the Langley Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) forms a comprehensive hub for essential diagnostic services.
The new medical imaging facility enhances urgent care by providing on-site radiography, allowing patients to receive timely assessments and imaging in one visit—reducing unnecessary emergency trips and improving continuity of care.
General radiography services are available on a walk-in basis, with no appointment needed. However, patients in need of a CT scan must book an appointment. Residents in the community, including patients of the UPCC, in need of a CT scan must first obtain a referral and requisition form from their primary health care provider.
A CT scanner is a diagnostic tool that allows doctors to see inside the body by using a combination of X-rays and a computer to create pictures of organs, bones and other tissues. It helps clinicians diagnose medical issues that are otherwise not visible.
