Cartier House Care Centre is a three-storey long term care home located in a quiet residential area in Coquitlam but within easy reach of highways and public transportation for visiting friends and families.
The thoughtfully designed areas in our building give our residents the opportunity to socialize with each other or with their guests in several communal gathering located throughout the property.
Cartier House is committed to serving the community by providing a supportive, warm, safe, home-like environment with dedicated, friendly and skilled staff that enables each resident to achieve their optimal quality of life.
There are 78 publicly subsidized long term care beds at Cartier House. Thirty (30) are single occupancy rooms and 24 are double occupancy.

Room features and personalization | Rooms include a bed, dresser and night table, basic linen, clothes closet, care supplies, incontinent products. Residents may also bring a limited amount of furniture due to room size (radio, TV, personal chair and dresser, pictures and plants to personalize the room) |
Accessibility | Motorized scooters cannot be accommodated. Cartier House is elevator equipped. |
Security | All exit doors are key padded. In-suite emergency alert system. 24 hour professional nursing services. |
Smoking | No smoking. |

Pets | Pet friendly building and community (for visiting pets only). All pets must have shots and be kept on a leash. Cartier House is also home for 4 house birds – Love Birds (Deci and Lucy) and Budgies (Sunshine and Cher). |
Medical assistance in dying | On-site assessment and on-site provision available. |

Hairdressing | Hairdresser room located in Rose Wing. Services are with corresponding charges. |
Foot and nail care | Foot care nurse visits per schedule with corresponding charges. |
Additional services |
Physician, geripsychiatrist and nurse practitioner on-site visit per schedule. Physiotherapist, occupational therapist and dietitian are available unless resident and family requested private services on top of what we offered. Hygienist, mobile dentistry and optometry services on-site are also available upon request. |

- New clients can contact our Home Health Service Line at 1-855-412-2121 (open seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; on statutory holidays between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

Referral by case manager at a Home and Community Care office is required. To access service call the Home Health Service Line for more information; do not contact the care home directly.
Fees
There is a monthly accommodation fee; additional fees may apply for incidental services.
