Willingdon Care Centre provides provides individualized care including end of life care in a loving and nurturing environment.

The centre provides 24-hour care in a loving and nurturing environment. 

Willingdon Care Centre is primarily an English speaking home. Some of our employees speak a variety of different languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Tagalog and Cantonese.

The centre has 95 publicly subsidized long term care beds. There are nine single occupancy rooms, 23 double occupancy rooms and 10 multiple occupancy rooms.

Features

Room features and personalization Rooms include a bed, closet, bed side table, towels and linens.

With approval residents may also bring a radio, television, personal furniture, pictures and plants as space allows.
Accessibility All areas are wheelchair accessible. Scooters cannot be accommodated.
Security The centre is fitted with a WanderGuard system and key padded doors and elevators for security.
Smoking Smoking amenities are unavailable.
Location information  Willingdon Care Centre is in close proximity to public transportation, near the Metrotown and Patterson Skytrain stations. There is also a small shopping mall across the street.
Additional site features There is a large, secured outdoor courtyard with sidewalks and park benches. The centre also has large grassy areas with umbrellas for shade, flower planters and hanging baskets.
Parking and transportation Parking is available at the front of the building.

Programs

Social and recreation programs  Recreation programs take place seven days per week. Music, cultural activities, crafts, body and mind fitness, social events, interactive games and karaoke are some of the activities available at the centre.
Spiritual program Eucharist services are on-site. A chaplain visits the centre to conduct Catholic, Methodist and United Church services.
Pets Visiting pets are permitted with pre-approval.
Medical assistance in dying On-site assessment and on-site provision available.

Additional services

Hairdressing  Hairdressing and barber services are provided once per week for a fee.
Foot and nail care A foot care nurse  and podiatrist visit once per week. Services are available for a fee.
Additional services Occupational services are also provided.
