Valleyhaven is a proud member of the Kaigo Senior Living Group. Valleyhaven is a three-storey residence that provides a safe supportive home with 24-hour nursing care for those who can no longer live independently.
In partnership with others, we help individuals help themselves. We assist and support residents in making choices that promote independence, enhance their lives and enable them to age with dignity.
Care is highly personalized. Nutritious and well-balanced meals are served. Family involvement is welcomed and activities reflect the cultural diversity of our residents.
There are 101 publicly subsidized long term care beds at Valleyhaven. 93 rooms are single occupancy and four rooms are double occupancy.
Features
Room features and personalization | Each room features a bed, bed side table, dresser and armoire. Linens and towels are provided. Residents may personalize their rooms with pictures, plants, television, personal chair and keepsakes. |
Accessibility | All rooms and areas are wheelchair accessible. |
Security | Valleyhaven is fitted with keypadded internal doors, magnetically alarmed external doors and video monitoring for security. |
Smoking | Smoking is permitted in the outoodr gazebo located to the left of the building. |
Location information | Valleyhaven is located one block away from Chilliwack General Hospital, Chilliwack Cultural Centre and a few blocks away from downtown Chilliwack. |
Additional site features | Valleyhaven provides a secure environment for residents requiring complex care. |
Parking and transportation | A lighted parking lot and street parking is available. HandyDART and public transportation are also available. |
Programs
Social and recreation programs | Programs and activities are designed to maintain independence and provide physical activity. Arts, crafts, music, fitness, community outings and special celebrations and gatherings are offered. |
Spiritual program | Spiritual care is an integral part of the holistic approach that encompasses each person’s life. Non-denominational church services are held monthly. Devotional readings are held throughout the week. |
Pets | Visiting pets registered with the Pet Therapy program are a welcomed group of volunteers at Valleyhaven. Personal pets are welcome to visit in specific resident rooms. |

Hairdressing | A hair salon is on site. Services are available for a fee. |
Foot and nail care | A contracted foot care nurse provides footcare by appointment. Services are available for a fee. Nursing staff provide nail care. |
Additional services | A walking program and Care Fit Program are offered under the direction of the physiotherapist without a fee. |

Lighted parking lot on-site and street parking is available.

- New clients can contact our Home Health Service Line at 1-855-412-2121 (open seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; on statutory holidays between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

Referral by case manager at a Home and Community Care office is required. To access service call the Home Health Service Line for more information; do not contact the care home directly.
Fees
There is a monthly accommodation fee; additional fees may apply for incidental services.
