Zion Park Manor is a two-storey long-term care home providing services to both subsidized and private pay elders.
Zion Park Manor provides a home-like atmosphere for elders who need care from dedicated, passionate, educated staff. We welcome families to our home as active members of our team.
The home contains four neighbourhoods and utilizes the Eden philosophy as its model of care.
Zion Park is a 99 bed facility with 70 publicly subsidized long term care beds and 99 single occupancy rooms. It is owned and operated by the Lutheran Senior Citizens Housing Society.
Features
Room features and personalization | All rooms at Zion Park are single occupancy. Furniture in each room includes a bed, dresser, night table and wardrobe or closet. Linens and towels are provided. Residents may also bring a radio, television, personal chair, pictures, plants and home furnishings as space allows. Personal items to bring include clothing, toiletries and money for comfort needs. |
Accessibility | Zion Park is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with elevators to allow access to the upper floors. Electric wheelchairs are assessed on a case by case basis. |
Security | The home is fitted with WanderGuard, key carded doors, secure outdoor areas and video monitoring for the safety of residents and staff. |
Smoking | Smoking amenities are unavailable at the home. |
Location information | Zion Park is located in the historic town of Cloverdale. Local amenities include shopping, restaurants, a casino, racetrack and an exhibition site. Several nearby schools and churches provide valuable volunteer services to our residents. |
Additional site features | The home is equipped with an art room and large gathering area for events. Lush outdoor garden spaces are accessible to all residents. Food is prepared on-site under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian. |
Parking and transportation | Parking is available in our lighted underground parking lot. Additional parking is available on our street. |
Programs
Social and recreation programs | Zion Park has an art room, a drama club, a wide variety of activities and a bus for outings to restaurants, plays, movies and other events. Residents also produce a play each year. Music therapy is available. Salad bars and barbecues occur throughout the year. |
Spiritual program | Multiple neighbourhood churches provide Christian services and hymn sings. |
Pets | There are pet therapy programs in addition to multiple fish tanks and cats living in the home. Dogs are encouraged to visit on-leash anywhere in the home with the exception of the dining rooms. |
Medical assistance in dying | On-site assessment and on-site provision available. Residents may access these services through Fraser Health employees. |
Additional services
Hairdressing | An on-site hair salon provides hairdressing services twice per week for a fee. |
Foot and nail care | A foot care nurse visits on a regular basis for a fee. |
Additional services | Residents have access to physicians, occupational therapy and dietitian services at no charge. On-site access to a dentist, denturist, optometry, audiology and dental hygienist services are available for a fee. |
