Laurel Place is a four-storey long term care home across Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Laurel Place provides 24-hour professional nursing services and rehabilitation to publicly subsidized and private pay residents.
There is an outdoor enclosed courtyard with a heated gazebo and outdoor patios on each floor. Our enclosed inner courtyard, with a pool of flowing water and lovely treed landscaping, provides a tranquil space for reflection or visiting. All resident home areas have an external patio off the dining area.
Laurel Place has 175 long term care beds (107 publicly subsidized) and 35 convalescent beds. There are 167 single occupancy and four double occupancy rooms.

Basics include an electric bed, a three-drawer dresser, a built-in closet, bedside table with a locking drawer, and pullout writing surface and all required linens. Rooms have their own accessible personal washroom, except for the 4 double rooms, which features a shared washroom. The rooms are wired to accommodate a small TV and a telephone.
Residents may also bring a familiar personal chair from home, pictures and wall hangings, personal items to fill a lovely memory box outside the door. Radios and televisions are also welcome.
|Accessibility||Wide hallways accommodate motorized wheelchairs and scooters; residents are assessed for safety regarding motorized mobility aids.|
|Security||We have a Wanderguard feature, including key-padded doors to ensure the safety of residents. Video monitoring is active on site 24 hours a day for extra security.|
|Smoking||Smoking is prohibited for all visitors and staff. Residents wishing to smoke are assessed to ensure risks are minimized; they must be able to locate the outdoor gazebo in the inner courtyard.|
|Location information||Within easy walking distance to Surrey Memorial Hospital, the Central City Shopping Centre, hotels and other community services; SkyTrain station is two blocks away.|
|Additional site features||High Intensity Rehab and Hospice units, both located in the building, are directly managed and staffed by Fraser Health Authority.
Convalescent care unit is located on the 3rd floor of the building.

|Social and recreation programs||Social recreation and activity programming are provided seven days a week and include outings on our shared wheelchair accessible bus. Staff physiotherapists supervise and assist residents with strengthening programs.|
|Spiritual program||We cater to different denominations and everyone is welcome to attend pastoral services done on site.|
|Pets||Pet visits are allowed and some volunteers provide this service as well. We have 2 house cats, 2 birds and a variety of fish in our aquariums which our residents can enjoy at their leisure.|
|Medical assistance in dying||On-site assessment available.|
|Hairdressing||We have an on-site hair salon for residents. Services are provided for a fee.|
|Foot and nail care||Foot and Nail Care are provided by a qualified foot-care nurse who visits every 6-8 weeks or as needed.

|Additional services||Visiting in-house dental hygienist and dentist for annual check-ups and follow-up dental work for a fee. Other specialized services include geriatric psychiatry, music therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and activation, and clinical nutrition. We also have an active volunteer program.
