Provides psychiatric treatment for individuals who present with acute psychiatric disorders and severe mental health concerns, for which psychiatric in-patient treatment intervention is necessary.

Royal Columbian Hospital's inpatient psychiatry programs are provided in the Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre, a separate building located on the Royal Columbian Hospital site.

Hours of operation
Reproductive Mental Health:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Eligibility
Patients with a psychiatric assessment deeming inpatient treatment necessary.
Referral
Individuals are generally referred through the emergency department or another inpatient unit within an acute care site, via physician orders.
