Maplewood House is a single-storey residence with 78 ensuite rooms, 76 of which are funded by Fraser Health. Of these rooms 23 are designated as a Behavioural Support Transition Neighbourhood.

Maplewood House has 78 long-term care beds; 76 rooms are publicly subsidized. All rooms are single occupancy rooms.

Features

Room features Each room features a safe bed, a locking cupboard and private washroom with room for a wheelchair. All towels and linens are provided. Laundry is done onsite.

Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items to decorate their room. This may include telephone and cable arranged through Shaw. Rooms will be assessed to ensure the safety of the resident.
Accessibility All rooms and areas are wheelchair accessible. Maplewood House is a single-storey residence.
Security Maplewood House is fitted with key padded doors and video monitoring for security.
Smoking This is a non-smoking care community.
Parking and transportation Parking is available on site. Public transit nearby.
Additional site features Included in Maplewood House is a Behavioural Support Transition Neighbourhood. This neighbourhood focuses on caring for residents with responsive behaviours.

Maplewood House also offers a Day Program for Older Adults. The program is a supportive therapeutic safe group environment for persons who are living at home.

Programs

Social and recreation programs  A creative and passionate therapeutic team offers programs and supports that meet social, physical, cognitive, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents and families.
Spiritual program Spiritual programming available.
Pets Pet therapy is available once per week as well as at special events. Family members are encouraged to bring in their pets.

Additional services (additional fees may apply)

Hairdressing  Hair salon or barber available twice per week with associated fee.
Foot and nail care Foot care nurse available with associated fee.
Additional services Maplewood House has a partnership with Silver Valet Dental Care, who provide a mobile dental service including a dental hygienist and dentist. A partnership with LifeLabs provides lab service twice a week and ophthalmology is available on a referral basis. These services are available for a fee.
