There are 165 long term care beds at Royal City Manor with 50 publicly subsidized beds. There are 157 single occupancy and 4 double occupancy rooms.
Features
Room features and personalization | Rooms include a bed, armoire or closet, nightstand, lamp, linens, hand hygiene tools, chair Royal City Manor encourages personalizing he rooms with pictures, favourite chair etc. There are Shadow boxes outside every room to also add a special item or two. |
Accessibility | The entire entrance and home is wheelchair accessible. This also includes and elevator in the front lobby. |
Security | Royal City Manor has a secure entrance with video monitoring. The doors to the outside are key padded and so are the elevators. We have a ROAM alert system in place. |
Smoking | Royal City Manor is a non-smoking home. |
Location information | Royal City Manor is nestled in a park-like area, close to RCH and SkyTrain. There is a bus stop in front of he home. |
Additional site features | Royal City Manor delivers holistic person-centred care which includes end of life care. There is a core group of GP’s and Geriatric Psychiatrist to enhance the inter disciplinary team. |
Parking and transportation | There is parking in front of the home and on the street in front. Close to Skytrain and a bus stop out front. |
Programs
Social and recreation programs | Royal City Manor delivers a Montessori approach to recreation with individualized plans. Residents participate on Resident Council, Food Committees and welcoming Committees. There are variety of spiritual programs and active, engaged volunteers. |
Spiritual program | There are a variety of different spiritual programs at the home including but not limited to Catholic and Christian. |
Pets | Royal City Manor has two house cats and two-house guinea pigs. There are dog pet visits and we encourage the visitation of family pets. |
Medical assistance in dying | On-site assessment and on-site provision available. Medical assistance in dying is provided through Fraser Health. |

Hairdressing | For a fee there is on site hairdressing and barber services. |
Foot and nail care | For a fee there is an on-site podiatrist |
Additional services | For a fee there is on site dentist, hygienist, optometrist services. There is also occupational therapy, physical therapy and rehab services available. |

- New clients can contact our Home Health Service Line at 1-855-412-2121 (open seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; on statutory holidays between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

Referral
Referral by case manager at a Home and Community Care office is required. To access service call the Home Health Service Line for more information; do not contact the care home directly.
Fees
There is a monthly accommodation fee; additional fees may apply for incidental services.
