Owned and operated by Aldergrove Lions Senior Housing Society, Jackman Manor is a long term care home for elders in Aldergrove, British Columbia
We strive to enrich the lives of our elders, and provide personalized services in a manner that creates and environment that encourages independence, preserves dignity, and respects their privacy.
There are 88 long term care beds (87 publicly subsidized) at Jackman Manor. All rooms are single occupancy rooms.
Features
Room features and personalization | All rooms are furnished with a hospital bed, nightstand, dresser, corkboard and two piece ensuite. Bed linens, hand towels and facecloths are provided and maintained by the Manor. |

Security | All exterior doors are on an electromagnetic locking system to prevent residents from wandering off site. Common areas are also under video surveillance to protect residents’ rights and promote safety. |
Smoking | We are a smoke free facility. |
Location information | Bus stop located on the street just off of the property. Close to Dr. offices, dentists/denturists, grocery stores, and pharmacy. |
Additional site features | The Manor has a fully equipped hair salon and a hairdresser who visits twice weekly. A foot care nurse visits the Manor every six weeks and sees every resident and a fully qualified physiotherapist visits the Manor twice a week. We also have a rehab therapist in the Manor daily. |
Parking and transportation | Family and visitor parking is located at the front of the facility. As there is limited parking available, there is parking available on 28th Avenue out front. |
Programs
Social and recreation programs | The Manor provides, Music Therapy, Activities, Ice Cream Day weekly and Diners Club/Bus Trip. We also have a Resident Council, a Resident Food Committee, a Family Council, a monthly newsletter and a tuck shop. A schedule of events is posted monthly and included in the newsletter. |

Pets | Pets who are current on vaccines and are leased are welcome to visit the Manor. |
Medical assistance in dying | On-site assessment and on-site provision available. |
Additional services
Hairdressing | The Manor has a fully equipped hair salon and a hairdresser who visits twice weekly. Speak with the nursing staff if you would like an appointment and they will make arrangements with the hairdresser for you. This applies to both male and female residents. |
Foot and nail care | A foot care nurse visits the Manor every six weeks and sees every resident. If you wish you may make alternate arrangements to visit another podiatrist outside the Manor. |

- New clients can contact our Home Health Service Line at 1-855-412-2121 (open seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; on statutory holidays between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).

Referral by case manager at a Home and Community Care office is required. To access service call the Home Health Service Line for more information; do not contact the care home directly.
