Provides specialized antibiotic therapy under the leadership of an infectious diseases specialized physician.
Burnaby Hospital's Community Antibiotic IV Therapy Program provides an opportunity for medically stable individuals to receive intravenous antibiotic therapy on an outpatient basis. Assessment and initial dose is received through medical day unit located on level 1 of the hospital. May receive further treatment at home from home health nurses, at home health clinics, or at the hospital in the medical day unit.
