Geriatric Emergency Room (ER) nurses have specialized skills and knowledge to treat seniors experiencing a sudden health change, have a number of medical problems at one time and are at risk of losing the ability to function independently.
Geriatric nurses can be accessed on admission to the emergency department. The emergency entrance is located on the northwest side of the hospital, best accessed from the 16th Avenue entrance.
