We promote aging in place, dignity, choice and independence while encouraging wellness and leisure care. Amenities include a spacious dining room, two meals provided daily (lunch and dinner), a luxurious spa room for weekly bathing experience and a hair salon. Dania Manor also has a comfortable lounge that is available for continental breakfast, coffee, tea and socializing.

Dania Home offers both Private Pay and Fraser Health-funded suites. Our Fraser Health program offers 47 suites comprised of studios and one bedroom suites. The site cannot accommodate residents who are unable to make decisions on their own behalf or who require 24-hour professional care.

Features

Room features Suites include an apartment size refrigerator and stove. Residents must provide bedroom and living room furnishings as well as decorations to make their suite as comfortable as possible.
Couples accommodated.
Weekly light housekeeping and flat linen service are available and included.
Accessibility Residents must be able to move around in their own apartment with or without the use of mobility aids. Manual and tilt wheelchairs are permitted. Electric wheelchairs designed for indoor use may be permitted with pre-approval of the executive director. Motorized scooters are permitted; however, there is no storage area.
Security Key pad or key card entry to building.
Smoking Non-smoking residence but designated outdoor areas are available.
Parking and transportation Free parking is available for visitors.
Additional site features Air conditioning is available in the dining area. Residents can purchase a portable air conditioner on their own for their suites (but must receive approval prior to installation).
Meal menu is rotated every month and reviewed by a dietician twice per year. There are also supplemental food services on-site such as a bistro or Café.
Common area lounge with television, telephone and Wi-Fi.

Programs

Social and recreation Recreation coordinator consults with residents to create meaningful activities; this includes a full calendar of in-house events including music and entertainment night, exercise, current events, wellness clinics, community outreach, intergenerational events and personal choice plans (reviewed monthly).
Special activities that include bus trips and outings such as casino, shopping, bowling and lunch outing.
Spiritual Spiritual programing is available.
Pets Residents are allowed to have small pets such as birds or fish.
