Eligibility

Inclusion Criteria

  • Children, youth and young adults ages 13 to 24 and their family members
  • Lives in the Fraser Health region
  • Experiencing both mental health and substance use challenges

Exclusion Criteria

  • Individuals under the age of 13 and over the age of 25
  • Individuals who are not experiencing both mental health and substance use challenges

Please note: If a referred client does not meet the service’s criteria, or if another service is better suited to their needs, we will assist them in connecting with the most appropriate support service.

Referral

Referrals can be made by contacting the regional YCD intake line. To refer, please call 778-240-3624.

Self and family referrals are accepted. Referrals are open access, and anyone can refer.

Professional referrals are often received from the many individuals working with the youth and young adults:

  • Clinicians/therapists/youth workers/counsellors
  • Community services
  • Other Fraser Health services; Short Term Assessment Response Treatment, Early Psychosis Intervention, and Substance Use Services Access Team
  • Child Adolescent Psychiatric Stabilization Unit, Adolescent Psychiatric Unit, and Emergency Departments
  • Ministry of Children and Family Development social workers
  • Probation officers
  • Physicians
  • Psychiatrists
