  • Initial screening with regional intake nurse
  • Assessment with assigned primary clinician
  • Treatment plan tailored to clients’ readiness and recovery goals
  • Group therapy and an individualized treatment plan focused on healing, harm reduction and skill-building
  • Ongoing medical monitoring with their primary care provider
  • Clients with high medical/psychiatric acuity may be referred to our program physician and/or psychiatrist
  • Nutritional assessment and support from program dietitian
  • Referral to inpatient/residential eating disorder programs if needed
  • Workshops to support families, natural supports and loved ones
  • Referrals to a recreational, vocational or an occupational therapist if supportive
  • Treatment plans reviewed collaboratively every three months to plan next steps

Hours of operation

Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, 8:30 a.m. - 4: 30 p.m.

Eligibility

  • Individual resides in the Fraser Health Authority Region
  • Age 18.5 and older

Exclusion criteria

  • The client is acutely suicidal or in crisis.
  • Anyone under the age of 18.5 is referred to the Child and Youth Eating Disorders Program in their region, which is operated through the Ministry of Child and Family Development.

Referral

To make a referral:

  • A primary care provider must submit the following to the program.
    • Referral form
    • Current bloodwork and electrocardiogram, taken within the previous three months
  • Documents can be submitted via fax to the central intake number: 604-598-0792
  • The client must attend the mandatory information session within two months of the referral. Regional information sessions are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
