Provides care to individuals presenting to the emergency department with minor ailments such as bruises, allergic reactions, infections, and lacerations.
There is a separate and dedicated area for non-urgent patients with its own team of nurses, physicians and unit clerks. Eligible individuals are redirected from the main emergency area for registration, assessment and treatment as appropriate.
