Provides an outpatient clinic for adults newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Focus of treatment is on active self-management during three to four sessions per year, up to a maximum of two years, working with an occupational and physical therapist.
Topic areas include:
- Symptom management and coping
- How to manage daily functions, pain and fatigue
- Exercise and physical activity coaching
Splinting, adaptive equipment, and advice about footwear and orthotics is also offered.
