Services for people who require nursing treatment and education in self-care management.
You may be asked to attend a Home Health clinic for nursing care or other professional services. Home Health clinics are located in all communities of the Fraser Health region.
Clinic hours
All Home Health clinics are open weekdays during regular business hours. Some clinics are also open on the weekends.
What types of programs and services are offered?
Services offered in the clinics include:
- Wound care treatments performed by a nurse
- Intravenous antibiotic treatment
- Client teaching related to treatments of specific diseases or conditions
- Rehabilitation
- Social work consultation
- Group education on managing a chronic health condition
Home Health clinics are not an emergency service
Appointments are scheduled in advance to provide care for Home Health clients who are mobile and do not require in-home visits.
Access
Eligibility
You must meet eligibility requirements for Home Health services prior to accessing services.
Your Home Health care provider may recommend programs to you or you may be able to apply directly for access. Learn more about accessing Home Health services.
Fees
Some services are provided free of charge while others include a cost based on your after tax income. Contact your local Home Health office to inquire about fees.
