Lannon de Best leads integrated health services in the south.

As Vice President, Clinical Operations, Lannon has a regional responsibility for the delivery of clinical services across Delta, Langley, Surrey and White Rock. In this role, he leads diverse teams for acute care hospitals, community health services, mental health and substance use, long-term care, public health and primary care, with a focus on ensuring patients and families experience safe, timely and coordinated care.

In addition to his regional accountabilities, Lannon holds Fraser Health wide responsibility for maternity, infant, child and youth services, as well as laboratory services. Lannon also leads strategic planning and implementation for several system wide clinical networks, including neuroscience, rehabilitation, access and flow, and emergency department services.

He works closely with teams and partners to strengthen care pathways, improve integration and support consistent, high-quality care for clients, residents, patients and families across the health authority. His leadership approach emphasizes improving how care is delivered by reducing barriers to access, strengthening transitions and supporting safe and reliable clinical environments where staff can provide high-quality care. He is known for prioritizing staff safety, teamwork, accountability as foundations of excellence.

Lannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership. He also serves as a Primary Reserve Nursing Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, where he provides clinical and operational leadership.
