Dr. Richard Vandegriend is a cardiac intensivist, heart failure specialist and general cardiologist at Royal Columbian Hospital.
Dr. Vandegriend completed his bachelor degree in medical sciences and his doctor of medicine degree at the University of Alberta. He then completed an internal medicine residency and cardiology residency at the University of British Columbia. Following this, he sub-specialized in cardiac intensive care at Toronto General Hospital and the University Health Network in Toronto.
His clinical and research interests include cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support and heart failure.
He is also a clinical associate professor at the University of British Columbia.
