Keeping yourself and others safe from COVID-19 means using layers of protection.

Layers of protection

Get your COVID-19 vaccine
Stay up to date on your vaccinations. Register with the Get Vaccinated system to know when you can receive your next dose.

Keep others safe if you feel unwell or have symptoms

  • Stay home until you feel well enough to resume regular activities and/or your fever has resolved without the use of medication.
  • Avoid close contact with people at higher risk of severe illness or complications from COVID-19.
  • Cough and sneeze in your elbow.

Wash your hands with soap and water often
Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water is not available.

Consider wearing a mask in indoor, public spaces

Know when to get tested

Testing is recommended for people with symptoms of COVID-19 and who are:

  • At risk of more severe disease and may benefit from treatment
  • Hospitalized
  • Pregnant

If you feel unwell and are unsure about your symptoms, contact your health care provider, call Fraser Health Virtual Care (1-800-314-0999, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days per week) or call 8-1-1.
