Overdose prevention services aim to prevent unregulated drug deaths, and reduce the health, social and economic harms associated with substance use.

Overdose prevention sites provide the following services:

  • Witnessed consumption of unregulated substances and rapid response in the event of an emergency
  • Harm reduction supply distribution
  • Safe sharps disposal
  • Take Home Naloxone training and distribution
  • Drug checking
  • Referrals to health and social services including mental health and substance use supports
