“I assist employees who are struggling with, or recovering from, medical conditions impacting their ability to work. It can be overwhelming for people and my job is to guide them through their journey.”

"In high school I wanted to become a pharmacist, but two years into university my interests changed. I gave kinesiology a shot and fell in love. After graduation, I spent several years working in a physiotherapy clinic before coming to Fraser Health.

I started with the Disability Management team eight years ago. I assist employees who are struggling with, or recovering from, medical conditions impacting their ability to work. I help them get the information and support they need. There’s a different path for each situation and it can be overwhelming for people. Whether they’re about to go off work, or getting ready to return to work, my job is to guide them through their journey.

I live in Abbotsford with my wife and two kids. We spend a lot of time together, the four of us. We cuddle up and watch movies – Lego Batman and Jumanji are current favourites. We also like to travel. We do little trips to places like Vancouver, Parksville and Kelowna. Last year, we went to Montreal – my kids are both in French immersion and my daughter was translating for us in the cab – that was cool. One day, I’ll take them to Monaco and watch the Grand Prix from a yacht."
