Information Bulletin Header

This weekend, Fraser Health is making it easier than ever for people ages 12 and over to be immunized against COVID-19 by hosting immunization clinics in familiar community locations, including Rocky Point Park in Port Moody on Saturday and the Downtown Chilliwack Community Market in Chilliwack on Sunday.

Rocky Point Park is Port Moody’s best-known park and is a popular destination for people to gather on a sunny summer weekend. The Downtown Chilliwack Community Market is a weekly summer market where the people of Chilliwack can source locally-grown food and goods. These family-friendly locations are great opportunities for people who may not have received their COVID-19 vaccine to get immunized.

These easily accessible clinics aim to meet people where they are over the weekend and are examples of unique immunization clinics we have implemented in our communities to help ensure the COVID-19 vaccine is available to everyone who is eligible to receive it.

Those attending our immunization clinics are reminded to take precautions from the heat including wearing sunscreen, staying hydrated, and having something to eat and drink before their appointment.

Fraser Health is offering walk-in immunizations at our clinics to anyone 12 years and older for first dose immunization.

If you qualify for your second dose (e.g. it has been eight weeks or more since your first dose) and the clinic has capacity, your name will be added to a virtual wait list. You will be texted to come back later that day to get your second dose if there is enough vaccine.

While it remains critical that we continue following public health orders and guidance, receiving COVID-19 vaccine helps put the COVID-19 pandemic behind us. It brings us one-step closer to reconnecting with the people we care about, returning to the activities we enjoy while protecting our health system and helping businesses in our community return to normal operations.
