The influenza vaccine, also known as the flu shot, is now available in the Fraser Health region each year during influenza season. A yearly vaccine is recommended. Vaccines are typically available starting mid- to late-October each year.

Eligibility

This year, influenza vaccination is free for everyone in B.C. six months and older.

Flu shots for families with children 6 months to 4 years of age (inclusive) along with members of their immediate household are available by appointment. To make an appointment:

  • Residents of Fraser East (Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Agassiz and Hope) call 604-702-4906 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm).  
  • Residents in any other area of Fraser Health call 604–476–7087 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm).

For children 5 years of age and older, adults and seniors, the flu vaccination is available from your doctor, walk-in clinic or pharmacy. Visit the BC Flu Clinic Locator for details.

If you are not eligible for a free influenza vaccine, you may purchase it at your local pharmacy or travel clinic.
