The Pre Admission Clinic consists of a team of health care professionals, anaesthetists, registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and medical office assistants who work together to ensure patients are prepared for surgery.
The clinic sees patients who are having surgeries at both Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre.
The Pre Admission Clinic assesses health needs, completes medical histories and provides education regarding surgical procedures. Consults with specialists or therapists will be arranged if needed. Some surgeries/procedures require blood tests, x-rays, ECG and other test - these can be done during your visit to the clinic or we can fax the requisition to a more convenient location if requested.
