Eligibility
Youth may be appropriate for the Adolescent Day Treatment Program if they meet the following criteria:
- Youth aged 13 to 18
- Experiencing significant mental health concerns, which may include psychosis, schizophrenia, major affective disorders, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder, that require intensive, structured support.
- Experiencing difficulties in daily functioning—including family relationships, social connections and academic engagement (e.g., school refusal) related to mental health needs.
The program is not designed to meet the needs of youth whose primary support needs relate to moderate to profound intellectual disability, substance use, conduct-related concerns, eating disorders or autism spectrum disorder.
Eligibility is determined through clinical assessment and multidisciplinary review. Clinical judgment may be applied when considering referrals, recognizing that youth presentations are complex and that individual circumstances, strengths, readiness for day treatment and available community supports may influence program fit.
