Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Eligibility
- 19 years of age and over
- Individual is experiencing a mental health concern that is causing distress and is difficult to manage at home
- Individual can be safely supported in an open setting and does not require hospitalization
- Individual is not acutely psychotic, suicidal or engaging in self-harm
- Individual is actively trying to abstain from substance use
- Individual can take care of their daily living activities
- Individual is not at risk for wandering
- Individual is not showing aggressive or violent behaviour, or is not at risk for violence or aggression
- Individual is agreeable to receiving services
Referral
Referrals for CRESST can be made through a family doctor, mental health centre or hospital.
If you trying to access CRESST from the community, please contact your family doctor or local mental health and substance use centre.
If you are leaving from a hospital, the hospital staff can complete the referral form for CRESST.
