Choices for Support in Independent Living (CSIL) is another way to receive home support, where you manage the care staff yourself. You will receive funds from Fraser Health to hire and manage your own home support workers. You as an employer, are responsible to recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise your own home support workers. You will also provide monthly reports to Revenue Canada, WorksafeBC and Fraser Health Finance Department. Eligibility
You must be eligible to receive Home health services and:
- Be medically stable
- Have high physical care needs
- Be able to direct the care services by managing staff, budgets and day to day operations, just like running a small business, or
- Name a representative who can do this for you
Fees
Client fees are calculated the same as home support rates.
