Dear staff at Royal Columbian Hospital's Labour and Delivery Unit,
On Sunday, my labour was induced on your unit with prostaglandin. Shortly afterwards, our son's heart rate dropped multiple times, so I required an urgent, unexpected cesarean. I wanted to extend my utmost thanks and appreciation for the care that we received, to bring our son safely into the world.
I'm sorry, I forgot the name of the primary registered nurse caring for us during the induction (blond, a clinical nurse educator), but your attention, competence and diligence were key in creating a positive outcome of our labour.
Dr. Waterman's bedside manners and expertise were absolutely amazing.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone involved in our care.
My husband was rushed from Peace Arch Hospital for an angiogram. The care he received was outstanding. During the angiogram he ran into problems and a code blue was called. He was very lucky and survived.
While this was going on, I was in the waiting room outside the cath lab. A nurse came out and told me not to panic because there will be a lot of people rushing in for a code blue. Next thing a lady from social services came to me. It was very comforting having someone there with me. She was going off shift so another social worker came to me. These two ladies were amazing. I hope they will be shown how much their services were appreciated.
After the procedure my husband was taken to 2 North for a few days to be monitored. Again, the care was outstanding. There are far too many health care personnel to mention.
We both want to thank all the staff for everything we received. Thank you again.
This message is to let Fraser Health now that Seana Lee Hamilton from the Privacy Office is a gem and a very nice person. I really enjoyed my interaction with her. We need more pleasant and helpful people like her.
We quickly put pen to paper to escalate complaints. I felt the opposite after having to attend Surrey Memorial Hospital. This was my first experience at Surrey Memorial emergency and I have heard and read not so nice things over the years so I was not looking forward to the visit. Nothing put helpfulness and great care from front entrance check-in through fast track to see ER doctor. I even left with the details and instructions on the follow up specialist to call the next day. I should know the doctor’s name, but I don't. Thank you to all.
Hello, I was just wanting to come into the ER and thank all the nurses for all that they do! I was wanting to bring in flowers and a giant card for them all. My grandpa passed away last year and he actually passed away in the hospital. What these nurses did for him meant a lot to me, and although I don’t know the exact nurse who helped throughout everything, it truly made me realize what these nurses do for everyday people they don’t even know! I would love to be able to meet some of them and thank them for all they do! If I can that would be amazing, but if not, that is totally okay too but please do pass this message on to them. I emailed the hospital last year with a Christmas card project and was not able to, but I really truly hope I can do this one!
