This week's kudos go to our amazing people at Home Health and Long Term Care, Delta, Peace Arch, Surrey Memorial, Chilliwack General, Burnaby and Langley Memorial hospitals.

I would like to bring to attention the positivity of my experience as a day-surgery patient at Delta Hospital on June 15th. I had a minor eye surgery which was somewhat daunting for me just because I haven't been hospitalized or had anything close to a surgery since I was an infant. I was also very unfamiliar with Delta hospital as it was my first time ever setting foot at the facility. Everybody I spoke to that day - from the admission clerk to the nurse who discharged me was very professional, friendly, and helpful and made my experience a very positive one. Though I didn't tell anybody, I too work in health care (I am an registered nurse at Royal Columbian Hospital) and know when I see excellent patient care. Thank you and please continue to be great role models.

My husband has required complete care which I have administered myself. On Sunday, (June 11th, 2017) I realized I can no longer physically care for him as he has become nearly completely immobile. Monday morning, (June 12th) I called our case worker Baldish Virk/Karen (a replacement) to say I needed my husband to go into a facility right away. I had a phone call that same afternoon from Morgan Place telling me they had a bed and to bring him in the next morning. He loves being there with all the people and professional care. I am so grateful for Fraser Health providing this service to us. God Bless.

I was given a patient survey to do online but couldn't figure out how to do it.

I really wanted to tell someone how much I appreciated my nurse on my ward 4B on Thursday, 15th of June. Her name was Lana and she was amazing. I was in severe pain and I couldn't have asked for a better and more caring nurse. She made me feel so comfortable. I had surgery that night and she was not there in the morning to say thank you to. So I hope she will get this message.

Thank you very much.

Dear Dr. Craig Murray,

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to your entire Emergency Staff for the wonderful care given to my 91 year old father. My Dad wanted to thank your staff and so I am writing this on his behalf.

I would like to thank the entire medical Emergency staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital, over the last few years I have been at this hospital for various ailments. Recently I underwent two surgeries for abdominal hernias. Dr. Todd did the corrective surgeries. He is truly an amazing physician with wonderful bedside manners. I am 91 years old and Dr. Todd said I came through both surgeries very well. He said that I could expect a complete recovery and should see few more good years ahead of me. After a conversation with Dr. Todd regarding life and death, I came to realize just how precious life is and now I have a new found appreciation for my life. I would like to personally thank Dr. Todd for his insight in this matter and helping me at a very trying time in my life. I am going to dedicate myself to go forward down life's pathway as far and as long as it will take me. I will strive to live the rest of my life to the best of my ability with dignity and grace and be thankful for every day I will be given. I believe it is the dream and wish of all mankind to simply pass away in one's sleep, reflecting back on a life well lived. Simply, dream and never wake from your life's treasured moments and memories. It is my wish to live as long as possible and simply pass away in my sleep with my dreams, someday.

Kudos to the entire ambulance team, Dr. Dhami and the nurses at the ER of Langley Memorial Hospital.

Your professionalism but especially your kindness during my short stay in the early hours of June 19th was very much appreciated.

With thanks.
