This week’s kudos go to our amazing employees at Czorny Alzheimer’s Centre, and at Mission Memorial and Peace Arch Hospitals.
For the Czorny Alzheimer Centre
Hi there, just wanted to say that my mother of 91 years has been at the Czorny Alzheimer Centre for six years. The staff in her Poppy Place pod are amazing to say the least. Leanne and Tiffany absolutely go out of their way to provide a peaceful and happy environment for all.
Mom only speaks Japanese. Even with the language barrier Leanne seems to know what [mom] needs or wants and [she] keeps mom happy, clean and comfortable. Leanne is an absolute angel; she keeps them active [and] sings songs with them. Our whole family adores her.
Tiffany, Suki, Pat and Radika are all such great staff. It's not an easy job and it takes special people with patience and kindness in their hearts. I would highly recommend the Czorny Alzheimer Centre to all loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.
For Mission Memorial Hospital
On August 14 I had a cardiac treadmill test. The cardio technician who administered [the test] was Jan. She was extremely professional in the most caring way. She explained exactly what she was doing and how the test would progress. I really felt that she cared about me. Jan is [a] pure gold member of your staff!
For Peace Arch Hospital
I had to go to Emergency on July 8, after 3 p.m. From reception, to lab work, to IV, to the actual procedure performed -- I would say the care provided was exceptional by all the staff. Then [I had] three days of additional IV therapy at the IV Clinic at Peace Arch Hospital, July 9 to 11. [Here are] some names that I want to acknowledge:
- Dr. Hendry, the Emergency Room doctor
- Dr. Cheyne, the attending physician at the IV Clinic
- Lisa, the IV clinic nurse who changed my dressing
I can't thank you enough Peace Arch Hospital staff for those that looked after me. Thank you for everything you all do, day in and day out.
