This week's high fives go to our amazing people at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, Peace Arch Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital.

For Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had this procedure over the course of my lifetime, but a recent kidney stone ended in a visit in the [Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre] Surgical Daycare Unit for the second time in 18 months. I’m ever so grateful to the nursing staff; they are kind, caring, understanding, and never make me feel as though I’m a burden. They work with a smile on their faces and bring their sense of humour to the job, making my before and after surgery care so much smoother. I don’t look forward to the inevitability of needing a ureteroscopy again, but I know I can count on the Surgical Daycare nurses to help me get through it. I just want them to know they make a difference!

For Peace Arch Hospital

I have been meaning to write this letter since January 4th when I had a colonoscopy at your hospital. Starting from your admitting desk where I was handled promptly, courteously and given clear directions, to the very last conversation I had with the nurse on the way out of the ward, absolutely every staff member performed their job splendidly.

The professionalism, cheerfulness and thoroughness of all your staff impressed me immensely and thus I am writing to ask if the nurses, doctors and clerical folks on duty that morning could be personally thanked for the great care and attention I received.

For Surrey Memorial Hospital

Early this morning I visited Surrey Memorial Hospital emergency department. I had a bladder infection. I was treated very well by all staff and I appreciated their help. Thanks everyone.

For Royal Columbian Hospital

I would like to comment on the fabulous performance of all on staff at the Royal Columbian Hospital Wednesday February 7th. I was in for an Ablation scheduled with Dr. Tung. From the registration desk to the surgery, to the recovery room all staff was great. Some of the staff were Jackie (female), Nash, Kevin, Susan (anesthesiologist), Dr. Tung and his assistant who books the appointments, Sue, and many others. Great team, good attitude. We have a world-class medical system.
