The BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre, SFU Surrey, and SFU Faculty of Health Sciences are hosting a free public event.

Patients, public, and family and friend caregivers interested in learning about and using health research can join us for a light dinner, informative presentations, and a talk show style conversation.

Speakers include Dr. Mark Battersby, philosopher, author, and expert on critical thinking, with an interactive presentation on interpreting health research, and medical librarian Brooke Scott sharing tips and tricks on finding reliable sources with her talk 'Dr. Google'.

The evening will be a talk show style conversation with three guests: a patient, a clinician, and an academic. The conversation will explore challenges, opportunities, and tips for finding and using health research with plenty of time for audience questions.

Check-in and food starts at 6:00 p.m. Presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP for this fee event through Eventbrite.

The BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre is jointly administered by the Fraser Health Department of Evaluation and Research Services and Simon Fraser University. We are a partner of the BC SUPPORT Unit, a SPOR (Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research) initiative. This event is being co-hosted with SFU Surrey and SFU Faculty of Health Sciences.
