High five your health care provider - July 6, 2018

My husband passed away last month. He had been fighting with health issues over the past 10 years, mainly cancer. We always felt blessed with the care he received. I will focus my comments on his past weeks. He was assessed to Palliative Care and was lovingly looked after by Dr. Eddy's team of nurses, the Fraser Health Home Support and Geraldine, the occupational therapist. His last few days were at Eagle Ridge Hospital. The care he received from the doctors and nurses was amazing, not only for my husband but for the family. There are no words to express my sincere thanks to all involved in helping to ease the pain. 

I wanted to let you know as a patient in your hospital I have had the privilege to meet some of the best, hardest working and caring nurses and caregivers. Today I had to take a trip to the Peace Arch Hospital and had a new driver get me to my destination and back again. I believe her name was Michelle and wanted to let you know how curious and cautious of a driver she is. From my bed to my MRI and back again. That’s just one of the great things that your staff has done for me. I am happy to say that it helps in my time of need in the hardest injury I have had. I believe in my heart that the outcome will be a success. All the staff on the fourth floor has treated me with respect and caring. Well done and thank you.
