"I believe in the importance of a healthy community. Culture transformation has always been at the core of my work and I've always endeavored to reshape health care for providers and recipients alike."
“I was born and raised in Germany and am of Ghanaian and Jamaican decent. I come from a family of medical health care professionals and the expectation was for me to become a surgeon. Although medicine was my first love, I nearly pursued a professional soccer career. Then I discovered my passion for psychology and ran my counselling and corporate consulting business for nearly 20 years before transitioning to Fraser Health.
Today, I’m the president of a soccer club, I coach my son’s team, and I still play on a team. My wife is my best friend and I am grateful for our love and our amazing son. Together, we give back by championing cultural and community development initiatives. Great food and inspiring experiences lift our spirits. We truly embrace connections.
At Fraser Health, I’m a client partner in culture transformation in the Employee Experience portfolio. We improve provider experience – it’s key to exceptional patient care. We focus on creating respectful work environments and improving psychological health and safety of staff.
That is important to me, because I believe in the importance of a healthy community. Culture transformation has always been at the core of my work and I always endeavored to reshape health care for providers and recipients alike. It’s my way of honoring my family’s legacy and my cultural values of encouraging all of us to be of better service to each other.”
