For Peace Arch Hospital

I was at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock for a total of five days.

I have not been in a medical facility in 40 years. I was treated so well and with a smile.

A big thank you to the nurses and the other team members on the second floor.

For Burnaby Hospital

I wanted to share my positive experience during labour, delivery and postpartum recovery.

The nurses, anesthesiologist and obstetrician were amazing. I felt informed about my choices. The surgery recovery ward and then the postpartum recovery ward were also awesome. Every medication was clearly explained to me with options where possible. My primary practitioner was a midwife and she was phenomenal. She was an immense source of support both medically and psychosocially, but this was in the context of the great environment at Burnaby Hospital.

It was scary to give birth during the COVID-19 pandemic but the team at Burnaby Hospital and my midwife, made it a wonderful experience that grew my family.

Thank you for all that you do for children, families and birthing people.
