Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak over at George Derby Centre in Burnaby following the implementation of comprehensive strategies to prevent and respond to COVID-19 in long-term care and assisted living facilities.
Fraser Health will continue to report all COVID-19 outbreaks to the Ministry of Health for their daily COVID-19 pandemic update which includes outbreaks in long-term care, assisted living, acute, and community sites.

Residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities are each allowed one designated visitor and one essential visitor. Essential visits include visits for compassionate reasons, such as end-of-life care or those essential to a resident's care, mental health, and emotional and psychological well-being.
