Service lane temporary sidewalk closure extension - The sidewalk on the east side of Royal Columbian Hospital property will continue to be closed into 2024. The exact date for the reopening is still to be confirmed.
We have temporarily closed the sidewalk between Sherbrooke Street and Allen Street to facilitate the construction of a new retaining wall and sidewalk to create a multi-use path.
This improvement aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility in our neighborhood while accommodating the ongoing improvements to the hospital.
For your safety, a temporary fence has been installed at both ends of the sidewalk closure area. Signs direct pedestrians to alternative routes. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to enhance our community's infrastructure.
