The Mission Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is on temporary diversion tonight due to a flood that occurred in the Emergency Department. The extreme cold weather caused pipes to burst, resulting in water damage in the unit.

If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

Fraser Health advises patients in the community seeking emergency health care to not proceed to Mission Memorial Hospital at this time. Alternatively, patients seeking emergency health care should go to the following Fraser Health hospitals to receive the care they need:

  • Ridge Meadows Hospital – 11666 Laity St, Maple Ridge
  • Abbotsford Regional Hospital – 32900 Marshall Rd, Abbotsford
  • Langley Memorial Hospital – 22051 Fraser Hwy, Langley Twp
  • Chilliwack General Hospital – 45600 Menholm Rd, Chilliwack

The Emergency Department will remain on diversion until further notice while Fraser Health assesses the damage caused by the flood and required remediation. We will provide updated information as it is available.

The rest of the hospital remains fully operational and patients are receiving the care they need.

BC Emergency Health Services resources remain available in Mission and surrounding communities to provide support to those who need it.

We thank our staff and medical staff for their support in caring for our patients during this unanticipated event.
