We will work to keep noise to a minimum during renovations to the existing hospital.
What’s happening?
- Construction related to early work for Phase 3 of the Royal Columbian Hospital redevelopment project is starting December 4, 2025.
- This work will take place in various locations throughout the Health Care Centre and Columbia Tower for approximately five months.
- Throughout construction, there will be some additional noise and vibrations. The project team will work with contractors to keep noise and vibrations to a minimum and will install monitoring equipment to ensure it remains at acceptable levels.
- This work is critical for preparing for the additional beds and services coming with the opening of the Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower.
