Behind every role at Fraser Health is a unique, human story. There are caregivers, cooks, physicians and community builders, who are also adventurers, artists, parents and lifelong learners. Get to know the latest Humans of Fraser Health and discover the stories behind the people who make a difference every day. Meet Kamalpreet, Amber, Donna and Lionel.

Kamalpreet Paul

Kamalpreet Paul is a nutrition coordinator at Fellburn Care Centre who believes food is a powerful way to connect residents to their culture. She also loves to dance to Punjabi music and explore the outdoors with her family.

Dr. Amber Jarvie

Dr. Amber Jarvie is a former teacher turned family physician. She’s passionate about creating a comfortable, home-like environment for residents in long-term care. Beyond work, she loves hiking, travelling and spending time with her husband and three daughters, usually at a hockey rink.

Donna Tabaque

Donna Tabaque is a cook at Royal Columbian Hospital, where she helps prepare meals for up to 700 patients a day. Originally a computer teacher in the Philippines, she followed her lifelong passion for food and creativity by pursuing culinary arts. In her downtime, this self-described introvert enjoys reading, acrylic painting and binge-watching Korean dramas.

Dr. Lionel Nyamurenje

Dr. Lionel Nyamurenje is a pediatrician at Chilliwack General Hospital. His passion for children's health began early, growing up in a close-knit family. He discovered a calling in pediatrics and a commitment to making a difference in people's lives. A proud father, he enjoys travelling, cycling, and spending time outdoors.
