Many grant competitions, including the CIHR Project Grant and most Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research opportunities, now require or strongly encourage engagement of knowledge users in grant applications and research project plans.

Knowledge users vary based on context, but typically include community members, patients and families with lived experience of a health issue, health care providers, and health system administrators as active partners in the research process.

The BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre's webinar, Strengthening Grant Applications with Knowledge User Engagement, is now available for viewing here
