This week's kudos go to our amazing people at various hospitals, the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre and the Guildford Public Health office.

I had the misfortune of falling out of a tree suffering a severe ankle injury. I was brought to Langley Memorial hospital Emergency by EHS.

I want to acknowledge all the staff involved in my treatment, from the initial medical care in Emergency by Dr. Dhalmi and all the excellent staff at Emerg, to the X-ray Department. I was operated on by Dr. Soswa and spent the next couple of days in “two North” were my primary nurses were Gigi and Jessica and the occupational health therapist. I wish I could recall all of the people that I had interaction with everyone was outstanding, my heartfelt thanks go out to all.

I want to say that my nurses on 3R (at Surrey Memorial Hospital) were by far the best nurses I have ever met. They were great for patient care and instrumental in my getting better....especially Indra...this gal deserves a promotion!! Wonderful staff all together. Thanks for making this the first hospital stay where I was not pulling my hair out wanting to go home!

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for all the staff at Surrey Memorial for the care they provided me this past year. I endured two surgeries in one day and am thankful to the emergency staff and Dr. Kuan Chuah. I was then in a coma for 14 days and woke up in intensive care on life support and kidney dialysis. The staff in ICU were amazing and did everything to keep and make me comfortable, from there I was moved to a private room on the surgical ward. They needed a lift for me as I was unable to walk. I was transferred to rehab and it was the saddest day for me as the doctors, nurses, physio staff and cleaning staff had become extended family not only caring for my physical well-being but my emotional as well. … If not for the entire support at Surrey Memorial Hospital I would not be alive and back home. More than grateful to write this review and words of gratitude

I was admitted into Emergency at Delta Hospital. I had contracted an aggressive bacterial infection and spent three days in ICU before being transferred to the Medical floor. I received a further five days of IV antibiotics followed by oral antibiotics.

I was obviously seriously ill, in extreme discomfort due to complete exhaustion and was a very difficult blood start with shallow veins etc. they finally had to revert to my foot as a last resort.

Obviously being in this vulnerable situation tends to leave you sensitive to ‘irritations’…however I am writing to say that every part of my admission and treatment was professional, caring and supportive. The Delta staff were kind, took time to listen to my questions and answered as best they could, explaining the process they were walking me through very appropriately for an ill and hurting patient. On all levels I found my hospital experience was as caring and considerate as I believe the staff could have made it.

Thanks to all involved on the ‘front-lines’ and those supporting the broader health care service in the background that make such great care a reality.

I called Francis at the Guildford (public health) location in Surrey looking for health records. She went above and beyond, into their back room to find a physical box containing the paper versions of my records. She then offered to make a copy so I could pick them up and keep them for my own records, before they get destroyed. She was personable, friendly and very helpful. I appreciated her diligence, kind service and your organization is lucky to have an employee like her. Thanks Francis!

My Dad just spent two weeks in 2 South (of Langley Memorial Hospital). I'd like to give a compliment to the staff in that ward. Everyone was very polite and friendly and cared for my Dad (and the others in his room) with compassion and dignity. I especially would like to thank Manni, Kelly, Darlene and a few I can't remember their names. These people show true enthusiasm for their careers. Manni is definitely my fave. I wish him luck in his future. Thanks everyone!

I visited Delta Hospital last Friday and was greeted by the sounds of a piano in the entrance. Even better, the volunteer was playing all the old tunes. I will remember her playing for a long time.

I'd like to thank that volunteer for brightening my day and, I'm sure, the day of many other people. And I thank the Auxiliary for making arrangements for this to happen. It all contributes to making a visit to Delta hospital a much more pleasant experience.

My Mum was attended to at the Emergency Ward of Ridge Meadows Hospital. We found the team who assisted my Mum to be professional and emphatic. Just wanted to say thank you.

Today I was at Jim Pattison Outpatient clinic. I was greeted by a lady named Meenu at 1A Lab. She was very friendly, courteous, and very patient with all of the people she served. Meenu is an asset to Fraser Health and Jim Pattison outpatient clinic. Please ensure that she is appreciated by senior management/supervisor. In my opinion, Meenu deserves a bonus of some sort in order to be recognized for her incredible interpersonal skills!
