BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre Curriculum

BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre team will now provide the national curriculum on patient-oriented research and are hosting sessions for teams and individuals to attend.

This free, three module course will equip you (patients, researchers, clinicians, decision makers) with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to do patient-oriented research. Patient-oriented research is research done in partnership with all stakeholders (patients, researchers, health care providers, and decision makers), that answers research questions that matter to patients and aims to improve health care. Patients include individuals with personal experience of the health system or a health issue, including informal caregivers (family and friends) and members of the public.

The next session is being held over two Saturdays: October 27 and November 3, 2018 at SFU Surrey. Register for any or all three modules. These free sessions are interactive and co-facilitated by Fraser Centre staff and patient partners. All modules include certificates of completion and refreshments.
